Our Story
Thoughtful Hearts Foundation for the Less Privileged Children was born out of a yearning desire to support mainly women and children in rural communities. For over 15 years, it has been the continuous desire of our founder, Ebi Blessing Ahuruonye, to invest in the rural development of women and children, especially in the suburbs.
Our values are simple but uncompromising: transparency, accountability, fairness, and lasting impact in every intervention. Through partnerships with organisations including Muslim Charity, Rotary International, and Lion Hearts, we have reached children and families across IDP camps, orphanage homes, public schools, and rural communities throughout Nigeria.

Ebi Blessing Ahuruonye
Ebi Blessing Ahuruonye is the founder of Thoughtful Hearts Foundation for the Less Privileged Children. She is a passionate humanitarian, educator and community development advocate with over 15 years of dedicated service to children, women, disabled and the elderly especially in rural communities across Nigeria. Ebi Blessing Ahuruonye has consistently championed initiatives focused on education, welfare support, child development and rural empowerment, particularly within disadvantaged communities in Nigeria.
Ebi Blessing Ahuruonye is widely respected for her integrity, empathy, leadership and unwavering dedication to humanitarian services. Under her leadership, THF continues to promote transparency, accountability, fairness and lasting impact in every intervention carried out. This is done with the vision of building a more compassionate and inclusive society for all.
Driven by deep compassion and a lifelong commitment to service, Ebi has led and participated with other NGOs and International Bodies such as Rotary International, Lion Hearts and Muslim Charity in numerous outreach programmes to internally displaced persons (IDP) camps, orphanage homes, public schools and rural communities. Through these interventions, she has provided support, encouragement and hope to vulnerable women and children, while advocating for sustainable community development and improved access to opportunities.
Professionally, Ebi Blessing Ahuruonye is an accomplished education specialist with over 20 years of experience in both British and Nigerian curriculum schools. Currently, Ebi works in an outstanding British school, where she has made significant contributions in teaching, leadership development, mentoring, music, drama and student welfare. Winning several awards over the years confirms her effort and impact.
Ebi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Benin and she has further advanced her expertise through postgraduate studies in Guidance and Counselling, alongside her first Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom. She further secured a second masters certificate in Civic Education from the University of Georgia in America. She is also a certified Google for Education teacher and Ebi has attended several professional development programmes focused on teaching excellence, leadership and child development.
